The short versionThese conditions have overlapping features of lupus, scleroderma, and myositis. Your pregnancy plan is tailored to your particular mix of features. Two things your team checks for are anti-Ro/SSA antibodies (which affect baby's heart monitoring) and, in some people, lung artery pressure.

Because these conditions look different from person to person, your plan depends on which features you have, such as joints, skin, muscle, or internal organs.
Anti-Ro/SSA antibodies
If you carry anti-Ro/SSA antibodies, your pregnancy includes monitoring of the baby's heart, and hydroxychloroquine helps.
Lung artery pressure
Because these conditions can overlap with scleroderma, your team may check the pressure in your lung arteries before pregnancy.
Medicines
Hydroxychloroquine is usually continued. Other medicines depend on your features and are chosen to suit pregnancy.
