Teaching

A teaching resource for trainees and allied health.

The clinics are active teaching sites. This section collects case-based learning, journal-club summaries, and a primer for trainees new to reproductive and musculoskeletal rheumatology.

Learn

Start here for trainees

A short primer on rheumatic disease in pregnancy and complex OA.

Cases

Case-based modules

Worked cases across the three clinics, with the reasoning shown.

Appraisal

Journal-club summaries

Critical appraisal of the papers behind the guidance.

Reference sheets

Guideline summaries

One-page clinical reference sheets prepared for teaching. Each names its source, its strength grades, and what it does not cover. They summarise the published guideline and do not replace it.

Physiotherapy

Total knee arthroplasty

APTA clinical practice guideline, revision 2026. The twenty recommendations, the de-implementation list, and the parameters the guideline actually specifies.

Reference sheet (PDF, 4 pages) ↓

!Scope. The APTA guideline covers primary total knee arthroplasty for osteoarthritis only. Revision arthroplasty, unicompartmental arthroplasty, and knee replacement performed for any other indication are explicitly out of scope. For a patient coming to knee replacement with inflammatory arthritis, these recommendations are extrapolation rather than guideline-supported care.
