About these scores. The T-score is the standardized PROMIS score (population mean 50, standard deviation 10), calculated here using the published raw-score-to-T-score conversion tables, the same tables your care team would use. A T-score above 50 for Physical Function means better-than-average function; a T-score above 50 for Pain Interference means more pain interference than average.

About these questionnaires
PROMIS Physical Function Short Form 4a and PROMIS Pain Interference Short Form 4a, developed by the PROMIS Health Organization with National Institutes of Health funding. Both have been validated in people with knee osteoarthritis, correlating well with longer legacy measures. Each domain's raw score is the sum of its 4 items (range 4 to 20). The T-score is calculated from the raw score using the official published conversion tables; Physical Function is scored so that a higher number means better function, Pain Interference so that a higher number means more interference from pain.
